This stunning Oval Beetle has been with its current custodians since 2019. In 2022, it underwent an extensive restoration, whilst also benefiting from a host of substantial upgrades and a few modern conveniences, making this a truly one-of-a-kind example.
Beginning with the exterior, the bodywork has been finished in L313 Reed Green, a period-correct colour available for 1955–56 Beetles. At the time of the restoration, it received all-new exterior trims, seals and accessories, giving it a comprehensive refresh.
Providing its distinctive stance is the Limebug Deluxe Air Ride kit, a package that provides four-way adjustability along with their 2” narrowed beam. The air-ride controller is neatly tucked away in the glovebox, while the air tank and compressors are hidden behind the rear seats. This setup, in conjunction with the custom-specified Limebug 17” SM35 three-piece split wheels, gives this Beetle its unique appeal.
The interior has also benefited from a comprehensive refurbishment. All of the seats and door cards have been reupholstered in red vinyl, with new carpets fitted throughout.
Something that really needs to be appreciated is the well-thought-out colour scheme of the dark red against the Reed Green. This colourway flows throughout the exterior and interior, right down to the finest of details. We hope you pick up on this in the advert images, but it is something that can be appreciated even further in person.
As for the modern conveniences, the interior has been equipped with a rear-view/reversing camera, with a magnetically attached display on the dashboard. Further to this, the headlights have been upgraded with flashing indicators, alongside LED indicators located within the rear engine vents. Both work in conjunction with the original semaphores, improving indicator visibility whilst retaining the Beetle’s original character.
Powering this Beetle is a newly installed, reconditioned 1,641cc engine supplied by ‘The VW Engine Company’. Installed by ourselves in December 2025, we will also complement the sale with its 500-mile running service and an MOT, ensuring it is ready to go.
This Beetle further benefits from a Wilwood front brake calliper and disc conversion, as well as a Blaze Cut T Series 2 automatic fire suppression system fitted within the engine bay.
