We’re pleased to welcome this 2015 Volkswagen T5.1 Transporter, which began life as a T28 short-wheelbase Trendline and has since been converted into a camper, equipped with all the essentials for life on the road. It hits the sweet spot for a well-equipped modern camper van, offering excellent practicality and great value for adventures ahead.
Inside, you’ll find a well-designed compact layout featuring a built-in fridge, twin gas hobs, sink with cold-water tap, and ample storage. The rear ¾ bench serves as a two-seater with seatbelts and folds out into a bed, with an additional sleeping area in the pop-top roof, making this a true four-berth camper. All seats have been reupholstered in blue vinyl with contrasting blue piping and stitching.
Further features include an Autoterm diesel heater, TV with HDMI port and built-in DVD player, interior spotlights, strip lighting and multiple plug sockets (3-pin, USB, and 12V). Curtains and window covers are fitted throughout, and a folding table that neatly stores away when not in use.
All camping equipment is managed via a control panel, which also displays the leisure battery voltage level. Power is supplied via a 240V hook-up, split-charging system and roof-mounted solar panel.
Up front, the twin passenger bench features a swivel base. The infotainment system with DAB radio supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and is equipped with a retrofitted reversing camera with rear parking sensors.
Externally, the camper benefits from Riviera alloy wheels, Transporter HQ headlights with sequential indicators, satin-black side bars and a detachable tow hook.
Its standard 102PS 2.0L TDI engine has been further improved with a remap, enhancing performance and allowing it to reach motorway speeds with greater ease and pace.
The sale of this T5 will be complimented with a cambelt replacement and full service to be carried out once the sale is agreed and a deposit has been taken. This T5 also benefits from new front and rear brake discs and pads, both front suspension arms and anti-roll bar droplinks which were advised on its previous MOT.
