This Right hand driver 1600cc VW Variant E square back was built in 1972. In all that time only having 4 owners.

The interior of the square back still boasts its original features. Inside the car the original black vinyl cards are in very good condition for age. The rear seat has its original black perforated basket weave cover and large boot area with original rubber mat. Unfortunately the front seats although original could do with re-upholstering. Each seat is fitted with 3 point seat belts including middle lap belt. Above the original white perforated headliner is in perfect condition.

Turning this square back are 4x2lt Porsche fuch alloys sitting perfectly on Firestone F560 tyres (145 &165 front and rear) the suspension is mildly lowered..

The exterior Marina Blue (L54 D) paint is wearing exceedingly well. Chrome bumpers in good condition protect the front and rear of the vehicle. Powering this Variant E is the original VW 1600 full injection engine.

Under the bonnet of this sits another original VW mat and plenty of additional storage space.

The body work is exceptionally solid however both front lower wings and lower outer sills could benefit from small repairs.

In 2021 a substantial amount of improvements were undertaken by the specialist team at Absolute VW, detailed in the accompanying paperwork.
